In early 20th century, looking beyond the interests of individual merchants and craftsmen, there was the first chamber system created, where those concerned could discuss various vital issues of entrepreneurship and solve them on the national scale. These chambers of commerce are now in almost every country in the world.
In 1930 in Latvia there was also a chamber system created. The first one – Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – was founded on 21 December 1934 and this year is celebrating its 85th anniversary.
Handsome gentlemen and charming ladies, laughter and joy in the air – this is a traditional annual Merchants’ Ball that gathers hundreds of top managers of Latvian companies of various industries for a celebration.
This year on 13th December at 20.00 in Hanzas Perons we will board “Festive Express No. 85” and start the journey across centuries and countries.
We will enjoy good music by Dinara Rudane and Rock Band, breathtaking performances, fine dinner and interesting conversations, and of course – dance, dance till the morning light!
