PROGRAMME:
Hank LEVY, Kārlis VANAGS, Duke ELLINGTON, Leonard BERNSTEIN, Linda LEEN,

Linda Leen is the owner of a rich voice – the charismatic singer dazzles like a dusky,
enchanting star. Gints Pabērzs’s flexible virtuosity is fascinating and awe-inspiring. The LNSO and Latvian Radio Big Band make a team of astonishing potency. Their performance at Latgale Embassy GORS earned unending applause, and they will now perform in Riga.

Ellington portrays Harlem on a Sunday morning, Levy’s Whiplash recalls the film of the same title. We will also hear Gershwin’s Summertime, Bernstein’s America; It’s Oh So Quiet, once performed by Björk; Linda Leen’s own hit Uzar mani kā zemi (Plough Me Like The Field) and the impressive composition Klātbūtne. Motīvs (Presence. A Motif) by Kārlis Vanags.
